#not good enough 2017

The boardrooms of corporate Canada remain a male bastion.

In 2017, only 22.6 percent of all FP500 board seats were held by women – an increase of one percent since 2016.

This isn’t good enough.

The 2017 Annual Report Card™ provides a complete picture of what is happening in Canadian boardrooms. It shows, too, why all Canadians should care about the lack of diversity and inclusion.

The report, prepared for PhaseNyne (parent company of the Women’s Executive Network – WXN, the Canadian Board Diversity Council – CBDC, and Stevens Resource Group – SRG) by the Conference Board of Canada, is available here.

It is surprising, illuminating and instructive.
